Change Detection
Change detection approach is most involed binary classification approach where the two “change” or “no-change” classes are produced between the two image acquisitions. This approach has applications in various fields like:
- Forest status between two dates
- Disaster management: after earthquake using pre and post disaster image to indntify the extent and location of damaged and distroyed building
- Flood mapping: using pre and post flood images in order to map the flooding areas
Methods
- Log ratio method
- Machine learning models
- Fuzzy logic based change detection algorithms
