Computational Phylogenetics

We analyze phylogenetics by applying bioinformatics algorithms, methods and softwares to genes and proteins. The ultimate goal is to construct phylogenetics trees representing evolutionary relationship between genes and proteins under investigation. We rely on highly advanced sequence alignment methods to identify remote evolutionary relationship. The main services we provide include but not limited to the following;

  • Phylogenetic analysis
  • Analyzing sequence alignments
  • Clustering and evolutionary relationships

Methods:

  • Cladistic approach
  • Maximum likelihood
  • Bayesian statistics
  • Maximum parsimony
  • Pair-wise and multiple sequence alignment

Tools:

ClustalW, BLAST, PHYLIP, PAUP, TreeAlign
